10th Anniversary Dinner
On 2nd June 09 members and their guests gathered in the ballroom of The Lansdowne Club to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Executive Network. Special guest, Dr Vince Cable MP Lib Dem Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, opened the evening by sharing his thoughts on the economy and where the Credit Crunch is heading. Carole Stone, broadcaster and founder of The Stone Club talked of the launch of The Stone Club and of her other venture YouGovStone.
Peter Ryan, founder of the MicroLoan Foundation, talked of their work in Africa. £1,000 was raised in the evening for the MicroLoan Foundation. Lawson Muncaster, journalist and founder of City A.M., gave the after dinner speech vividly describing his experience launching a free daily newspaper in The City. Chris Roycroft-Davis, communicator and former editor of The Sun, gave the vote of thanks.
