About Magdalena Soffia, Principal Sociologist at the Institute for the Future of Work
Magdalena is the Principal Sociologist at the Institute for the Future of Work and Wellbeing, leading one of the workstreams of the Pissarides Review on the same subject. With a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Cambridge, her academic research has focused on job quality, capabilities and workers’ wellbeing. Before her current role, she served as a senior analyst at the What Works Centre for Wellbeing, contributing to evidence-based practices. Her expertise extends to international consultancy, having served the population division of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) as a consultant on rights and development of migrant workers.
